Ford unveiled the third generation Ford Focus RS in the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year. It has been built as the most powerful Focus ever, the 2.3 litre Eco-Boost four-cylinder engine makes more than 350 horsepower and is mated exclusively with 6 speed manual transmissions. The car has an all-wheel drive technology which uses two electronically controlled clutch packs at the rear of the vehicle.
Torque can be split side to side for true torque vectoring. Up to 70% of total engine power can be diverted to the rear axle while 100% can be sent to the either rear wheel allowing for massive drifts.

The RS’s chassis also includes stiffer spring rate, stiffer bushings, larger anti-roll bars and two modes switchable dampers. A choice of Michelin tires can also be fitted to the Focus RS.
The company is very keen on not to share the other technical details of the car. We will surely be getting a lot more detailed information about the car once the launch dates are out.
The new Ford Focus RS will be the 30th car to wear the legendary RS badge and it sounds like it will not disappoint its predecessors.
