The Ford Focus 2015 is here, with decent changes in the overall shape, and looks as if it is going to be carrying on the legacy of being one of the favourite office cars in the UK. The question is that whether you should be a part of the Focus Family or Not?
You must have heard the cliché that the Focus is fun to drive and you will grasp the true essence of it, as soon as you get in the driver seat. They have a lot of creditability but the steering is the most prominent. It feels very accurate and precise; moreover the cornering is very balanced with minimal body roll. The car is very composed at high speeds but when it comes to rough tracks (with occasional bumps), you will realise that the suspensions are a touch less smooth than the arch rival Volkswagen Golf.
There are two Petrol versions i.e. the 1.0 Ecoboost 125 and 1.0 Ecoboost 100. If you go for the latter version you might have some problems if you travel long journeys, the former model is a better all round performer. As we have mentioned earlier this is more likely to be your office car and you are probably going to get the Diesel version - 1.5 Duratorq 120. The Diesel variant can be bit too noisy when you are pushing it to the limits, but it has to be admitted that it is powerful enough to overtake other cars on the road with ease.

Let us get down to the interiors; the central console has been changed for good as it was lagging behind the competition in the previous models. The plastic in the cabin also feels right. The only possible drawback could be the visibility from the shoulders with narrow quarter windows because of its slanted roof at the back. The leg space is large enough, but if you measure it minutely it is well short of the Volkswagen Golf which is its most intense competitor.

The maintenance cost is remarkably low as inherited from its ancestors and in addition the company claims the mileage of 74mpg for the Diesel version. So it is now safe to infer that the car is pocket-friendly too.
The most affordable models will fetch you A.B and have USB connections, but we recommend you to go for Zetec which will come with a 4.2 inch touch screen, Alloy wheels, DAB radio, Bluetooth and Heated wind screen. If you have the urge for more comfort then go for the Platinum model which comes with a rear view camera and bi- xenon headlights.
