The Porsche 911 recently celebrated its 50th anniversary, but today Porsche is much more than just being a blistering Sports Car. Everybody has witnessed Porsche Cayenne set new benchmark for bigger SUV’s. The only complaint which people had regarding the Cayenne was that it was a bit too big to handle on the busy streets and this is where the Macan comes to the rescue.
The Macan S Diesel variant is exceptionally good, the riding experience is phenomenal and it’s very composed and balanced on the corners since it’s a PORSCHE. The acceleration is superior compared to the competition with 60 miles/hour in just 6.1 seconds. If the speed is all that you Endeavour, then you can go for the Macan Turbo but we recommend the Diesel version, because it’s not only economical but will not leave you asking for more unless you wish to run it on a F1 track.

The Sports mode button on the console is a sort of USP, which you will get with every version of the car. You will feel the difference in the driving experience as soon as you press the button - your throttle response will be sharper, the gearshift will become smoother and the Steering will get more accurate.
Another highlight of the car is the air suspension (optional) which can potentially lower the back of the car to enhance the streamline effect. The standard suspension is capable enough to soak up even the biggest of the bumps so you will barely feel any need of the air suspension.
The best thing about this car is that it can get tough and wild to peer through the most rugged of terrains; otherwise the car is very settled and refined to the extent that you won’t hear the roar of the engine when sitting inside the cabin.

Coming on to the interior, the cabin looks gorgeous with back-hugging seats and a eye-catching central console. The visibility is far better compared to the arch-rival BMW X4 which has a negligible quarter glass because it is much more slanted at the back. Moreover the Panoramic roof system is an added bonus.
The touch screen is certainly not the state of the art, it’s a bit fiddly in terms of options as you have to go through all the buttons/switches are not the smoothest. The gear-shift enclosed with buttons looks appealing but you will have to take your eyes off the road to access them, Unlike Audi and BMW use a dial below the gear-shift which is far handier.
The leg space is just as good rather than being excellent and in the back the seats are difficult to accommodate 3 adults since the floor is raises up in between which reduces the leg space for the middle seat.
The boot is good with decent under floor storage and after flattening the back seats you will get a total space of 1500 litre.

The company claims the mileage of around 46 miles per gallon but you get just above 40 miles per gallon as per the road tests which is good anyway. The maintenance cost is low backed up by the great after sales service.
The car has only one disappointment, when you are buying a car which is north of 40,000 pounds, you feel bad to pay extra for Bluetooth and cruise control which doesn’t come as default even with the top-end versions.
